Recovery For Abused Women

“Empowering the abused woman to recover with God's truth"

I know what I am telling you in this message is true because God has brought me through many, many, many storms. Here is just one storm God delivered me out of:

I was in a very abusive marriage; I had married this guy in a backslidden state and disobeyed God - I knew I was not supposed to marry him. I knew it because I felt an unction in my “gut” (spirit) and I had that feeling the whole while I was married to him; it did not leave until God moved him out of my life forever.

I had been through all forms of abuse with this guy (physical, emotional, psychological, verbal, you name it) for over three and a half years when I pasted out and almost died from drinking too much alcohol; this was the second time this had happen – the first time I actually died and God brought me back to life and gave me a chance to accept Christ – this is another testimony of God’s goodness all in itself. The second time God revived me was in April 2004 and I decided to rededicate my life back to Him. Immediately God stepped in and begin to give me my escape route out of that abusive marriage. But it was not until I rededicated my life back to Him did He intervene on my behalf.

Finally, God, Himself, moved the guy completely out of my life. God spoke to me the last time the guy hurt me and said, “Enough is enough;” after that, the guy was gone. Praise God! I owe Him all the glory for what I am and what I am going to be. Otherwise, I would have been dead long ago.

You can read my testimony in my book, “Unholy Matrimony: Healing For The Abused Woman” which God instructed me to write after I rededicated my life back to Him; the book took three years and a half years to complete and get published. My instruction from God was to “heal His women” and that is how/why The Lula McGrady Foundation, Inc. and Abused Woman Ministries, Inc. was birthed.

I am telling you, trust God in your storms, and He will ALWAYS sustain you in the way He knows is best for YOU! Don’t look at no one and compare your storm with theirs; God deals with and brings everybody out differently!! Keep your focus on Him and ask Him for directions and the peace that Jesus left you in John 14:27, the peace that God will use to guard your heart and mind once you do not be anxious about nothing but go to Him with everything (Phil 4: 6-7).
