“Empowering the abused woman to recover with God's truth"

God Is…I Am Devotional (100 Days to A Renewed Mind) TBN - Days 10 & 11

Day 10 – 2/4/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

I Am Utterly and Completely Saved

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

HEBREWS 7:25, NIV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

When you gave yourself to Christ, He didn’t just save your soul. In other words, your salvation was far more than just a promise of entrance into heaven. Your salvation begins now and it encompasses every aspect of your being and your life.

The New King James Bible’s rendering of Hebrews 7:25 says that Jesus, “…is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him.” This is comforting news. God’s redemptive activity in your life extends to the farthest corners of who you are. The gift of salvation you’ve received is immediate, ongoing, and covers you spirit, soul, and body.

Yes, being “saved” is far more than simply being forgiven, as wonderful as it is to be cleaned and declared righteous. Indeed, if forgiveness along with an eternity in heaven is all that salvation encompassed, it would still be a more extraordinary gift than our minds could comprehend.

The salvation that is yours is sealed by an unbreakable commitment by God to complete the process He has started in you.

As Philippians 1:6 declares, “…He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” A loving Father has taken hold of you with His hand of kindness.

You are secure in Him. You are wholly saved.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

If you’ve never put your faith in Christ alone for salvation, or if you’re not sure about your relationship with Him, I invite you to believe in the One who died on the cross for you. Put your faith in Christ, and receive Him as your Savior.

Day 11 – 2/5/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

God is Jehovah-rophe (My Healer)

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

"…For I am the LORD who heals you.”

EXODUS 15:26, NKJV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

He is Jehovah-rophe: The God who heals. When the Lord made this declaration about Himself, Moses had recently led the people of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. For the first time in 400 years, Israel was free! It was in the wilderness that Israel learned so much about God. it was there that He led, provided for, and protected them and where God began to reveal His true nature to them. There, He introduced Himself as, “the Lord who heals you.”

Like a child safe in the arms of a good father, we are safe in the arms of our God. we are not left alone in the wilderness, wandering aimlessly forever. He comes to us. He is Immanuel, God with us. He is not distant, but close enough to hear our cry. And, He answers.

We can cry out to the Lord in our trouble; He will save us from our distress. When we are in need, “He will send His word and heal us” (Psalms 107:20). He will not leave us as orphans or as those with no hope. He will deliver us, for He delights in answering and healing His people.

Like the Israelites called on God in their wilderness, we can call on God in ours. Is there a sickness or ailments? Is there disease or discouragement? Out of your wilderness, cry to Him. Let your voice be heard in heaven with your petition. He can still heal. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is the Lord who heals you.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

When God moves in and you give Him full access to your soul, he heals your soul with His presence and allows it to flourish. When God moves in, we move on.
