Shields UP! - Part 1 - 8-4-2017

Jesus died so we could live and have abundant life (John 10:10); a life FREE of sickness, disease, infirmities, sin, and of ANYTHING that would keep us separated from God (John 10:10; Matthew 8:17; Isaiah 53:4-5)!! Jesus HAS given us authority to thread on serpents, scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; NOTHING by any means, will hurt us (Luke 10:19). Because we are MORE than conqueror through Jesus, who loved us and still loves us (Romans 8:31-39)!! NO weapon that is form against us will EVER prosper (Isaiah 54:17)!! Sickness, disease, infirmities, sin, and all other things that comes to rob our God ordained destiny, are weapons; we MUST use the authority Jesus has ALREADY given us, to conqueror these things (stand FIRM in faith)!! We MUST speak the Word of God to these things, that are coming against us and use our shield of faith, to quench EVERY fiery dart of the enemy!!

Years ago, when I was a member at Pastor Charlie Mae Carpenter’s church in Ft. Lauderdale, we used to sing this song, “Put your war clothes on yeah, we gotta fight…” and it is truer today than ever!! We MUST fight the good fight of faith; fight with the Word of God, having on the WHOLE armor of God!!

NO MORE playing around with the devil!! The devil will kill us, IF he could but he cannot; God got us!!! But it is time for us to get serious about serving and obeying God; it is time for us to GET connected to God and STAY connected!! It is time to KICK the devil out of EVERY area of our lives; we got the authority to do-Jesus gave it to us, so let’s use it!!

It is time to KICK sickness, infirmities, disease, sin, and every other destiny thief and destiny robber out of our lives!!! We are ALREADY healed by Jesus’ stripes; we have and walk in abundant life!! Let’s STOP allowing the devil to come in and take control of our lives, our families lives, our friends lives, and KICK him OUT!!!

Sickness is a curse caused by Adam’s sin of disobedience, in the Garden of Eden. God gave Adam specific instructions, to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but he allowed Eve to eat from it anyway. God told Adam what would happen, if he ate from the tree; he would die-Adam died spiritually and physically, when he disobeyed God. Adam’s sin brought spiritual and physical death to all mankind, separating us from God (Genesis 2:15 – 3:24). BUT God sent His Son Jesus, to restore us back to Himself; Jesus took our sins and gave us His righteousness! Romans 5:12-21 tells us:

¹² Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men^[a^] because all sinned— ¹³ for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. ¹⁴ Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.

¹⁵ But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. ¹⁶ And the free gift is not like the result of that one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. ¹⁷ For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ Therefore, as one trespass^[b^] led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness^[c^] leads to justification and life for all men. ¹⁹ For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. ²⁰ Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, ²¹ so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 

Since Jesus has taken our sins and given us His righteousness, we are no longer slaves to sin and we are redeemed from the curse of the Law (sickness, disease, death, which are effects of sin), by Jesus (Romans 6:6, 18, & complete Chapter 6; Deuteronomy 27:26; Galatians 3:10-13). Unless you are still walking in sin and have not given your life to Jesus, sickness, disease, infirmities, or any other effect of sin, has no business manifesting in your body!

If you have not accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you have not accepted the New Covenant (God’s Gift of Salvation-Gift of Life which ONLY comes through Jesus: Acts 4:10-12; Luke 22:20; Hebrews 8:6-13; Hebrews  9:13-14 & 22; Hebrews 10:4), and is still under the old covenant of the Law, where the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Proverbs 26:2 tells us, “Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, So the curse without cause does not come and alight [on the undeserving]” (biblegateway.com - AMP).

And if you have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior and have sinned, go to God and ask for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]” (biblegateway.com – AMP).

Either way, it is not too late to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior or rededicate your life back to God, as long as breathe is still in your body; get it right with God NOW, if you need to-time is winding down and tomorrow is NOT promised to us! Where do you want to spend eternity? Heaven or hell? YOU decide!

It does not matter what it looks like or what it feels like, we are going to CHOOSE to STAND on the Word of God!!! We are CHOOSING to believe that by Jesus’ stripes, we ARE healed!! 

NOT GOING TO BE BUT WE ARE HEALED ALREADY!! No matter if there are pains in our body or other signs of sickness, but we are standing on the Word-by Jesus’ stripes we are healed!!! From this day forward, we are choosing to use our Shield of Faith, to quench EVERY fiery dart of the enemy; we REFUSE to allow sickness of ANY kind, to setup in our bodies!!! The devil is a LIAR; it is not going down like that-we are going to finish strong for God!! We are not going to be broke down, weak, or sick but we will be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might, in Jesus’ Name!!

I am fighting the good fight of faith too!! I have constant pain in my body; no break from it-24/7/365!! I got injured in the Military; my back, neck, and other things and I don’t take any pain medicines-I choose not to-too many side effects! I CHOOSE to BELIEVE God, NO MATTER what I see or feel; I WILL NOT allow ANYTHING OR ANYBODY, to stop me from believing that I am ALREADY HEALED BY JESUS’ STRIPES!!! I WILL BELIEVE UNTIL I LEAVE THIS EARTH!!! I take MY Shield of Faith, and quench EVERY fiery dart of the enemy!!! I declare and decree, the Word of God over my soul and my body, and NO weapon that comes against me shall prosper!! God got me and God got you and our families!! In these perilous times, we MUST trust God Saints, like never before!!!

I am trusting God and His Word, that by Jesus’ stripes I am healed!!! As I said, I cannot allow what I feel or see in or on my body to deter me from believing the Word of God!  Faith is not believing AFTER we see something come to pass, but it is believing BEFORE it comes to pass! Faith brings what we cannot see into reality!

This is the Amplified Bible version of what faith is:

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]” (biblegateway.com).

You are NOT alone, God is with you always! Ask Holy Spirit to help you and He will! Totally sell out to God!! TODAY!! NOW!! That is the ONLY way you are going to make it in this world today! Again, Jesus is soon to come!! Therefore, let’s make up in our mines once and for all, for God I live and for God I die; let’s STAND firm on the Word of God and fight the good fight of faith!!
