Stop Listening to the Lies of the Devil!

The devil does not destroy people; he causes them to destroy themselves! He put thoughts in their heads, and when they continually speak those lies out of their mouths, they are destroyed because of lack of knowledge. No matter what we go through, we must stand on the Word of God!

I have seen people constantly speak death to themselves; although they don’t know what they are doing, this really bothers me. It bothers me because when I try to tell them the truth, they refuse to listen – although they see things are falling down around them. But God reminded me of me when I was in sin while I was saying in my mind, “Why don’t they listen to God?” My step mom use to try to warn me too but I did not listen to her either. I always wondered why she cared about what I did or said; she would tell me about drinking, going to church, etc. Now, after many, many, many years I finally understand why she cared – she cared about my soul; she did not want me to destroy myself and go to hell. Thank you Eleanor Hooks for warning me and caring enough for me to tell me the truth – I love you!

My eyes were blinded to the truth of God like so many others today because I was not serving Him. I was serving the devil so I was being controlled by him but I did not belong to him. God created me in His image, therefore I belonged to God but I had chosen to serve the devil; we all have a choice – to serve God or the devil.

Now, God lets me know, every person who speaks life or death from their mouth, is choosing to live or die. God does not want anyone to die that is why He sent His only Son Jesus to die for us all; Jesus took our place so that we don’t have to die in sin and go to hell. Jesus conquered our freedom for us when He went to hell and conquered death and hell (Rev. 1:18). This is what 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 says,

 

“⁵⁴So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

⁵⁵O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

⁵⁶The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

⁵⁷But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (www.biblegateway.com – KJV).
