God Is An On Time God! (Just Not Our Time) - Part II

Let’s recap from Part I:

Our “urgent” prayer requests are not always answered by the deadline date (if there is one) because:

1. God wants to get all the glory; He will work things out in the way you or no one else can say, “I did that.”

2. Your faith is being tested; God knows where you are, now He wants you to see where you are. You will find out do you “really” trust God or not. Remember, where your faith lies, that is what you trust in. When you really trust God, you will have the peace that passes all understanding. Even though it is getting close to your “urgent” prayer request deadline date, you will still have peace. You have this peace because you know God is in control – you are keep your mind stayed on Him and trust Him to handle whatever you are waiting on.

3. Your love for God is being tested; God knows whether or not you love Him for who He is or for what He can do for you. Let’s love God because He first loved us; while we were still in sin, God loved us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to suffer a horrible death on the cross for us. Let’s seek His face more than His hand. Remember, where your treasure is, there your heart will be (Luke 12:34) and we are to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. Jesus says it like this in Matthew 22:37-38: “37… Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment.” (NLT)

The Bottom Line:

To keep from being defeated and allow the peace of God to rest in you, always remember: sometimes God will allow that thing, that “urgent” prayer request that we think should be granted, at the time we want it, to DIE BEFORE He answers. Don’t be dismayed! Just as He allowed it to die, He can resurrect it again. When He does, the same thing can be resurrected (Lazarus) or He can give you something better (Job). Let God operate in and through your life to the fullness.

**Update to my “urgent” prayer request: I prayed to God on the 11th of December for a deadline need and He has provided it to me. Not only did God provide my financial need, but He also touched the heart of the person and they gave me an extension. Praise You God! I prayed, gave it to God, waited for Him to work it out and He did. I know this was God because only He could have done this; I give Him all the glory. So be encouraged, God has no respect of persons; what He did for me, He will do for you.**

God bless,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
