Day 25 – 2/19/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

God is my Deliver

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as you know, O LORD. I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation.

PSALMS 40:9-10, ESV

 

RENEWING THOUGHT:

How the Lord loves to deliver, save, and rescue. lt is at the very heart of His nature.

Across Scripture, we see example after example of the Lord delivering His people from distress. He delivered Israel from Pharaoh in the book of Exodus. He delivered the Jews from Haman in the book of Esther. And He will deliver current day Jerusalem from the forces that march against her, as foretold in the book of Zechariah.

God is your Deliverer today. At Calvary, He delivered you from darkness and brought you into the Kingdom of the Son He loves. The cross now stands as an eternal memorial of the great freedom the Lord lavished upon you. Now you are free! Now you can tell of His deliverance and share His love with the world!

Yes, He loves to deliver. As Psalm 40:2-3 declares, He drew you up from the pit and out of the miry clay. He set your feet upon a rock and established your steps. He put a new song in your mouth, a mighty praise to our God!

What, then is your natural response? Psalm 40 verses 9 and 10 hold the answer: You pour your love upon the One who is your rock and fortress. You can't help but pour out praise on the Rescuer in whom you trust!

Now is the time to make known among the nations what He has done. lt is not for us to hide His deliverance within our hearts, but rather tell of His faithfulness and make known His salvation! How will others believe unless they hear? Who knows, perhaps your testimony is the seed that will set someone free.

Day 26 – 2/20/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

I Am Not Afraid

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

... “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; my Savior, You save me from violence. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.”

2 SAMUEL 22:2-4, NKJV

 

RENEWING THOUGHT:

Because God is the Deliverer, you do not have to be afraid. You no longer have to live in fear. The Lord who is mighty to save is your Rock, your Fortress and your great Deliverer. He stands as the One you can run to no matter the situation. He is more than able to deliver you from every attack. He is your all-in-all.

Renew your mind to the reality that the Lord is your strength. ln Him you can trust and be secure. ln Him, your mind can rest and your heart can find peace. He cares for you and always will! That’s why you never have to be afraid! The Lord is your shield. The Mighty One of Israel is your salvation. The One who delivered Daniel from the lions and raised Jesus from the grave, He is your refuge!

Call upon the Lord and be saved from distress. Watch His mighty hand bring forth salvation. All things are possible for God. He is able to save you from every foe. The nations shake at the sound of His voice. The earth, the world and all who live in it, tremble at His presence.

Yes, the Lord is good. He is our refuge in time of trouble. He cares for us, for those who trust in Him. Remember the One to whom you belong. "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world!" (1 John 4:4, NKJV) So, fear not!

 

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

Today, stop focusing on your circumstances and instead consider your God, no matter how difficult, dramatic, or deadly your fears may be. Focus on His truth-and it will set you free!
