Day 39 – 3/5/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

God Chose You to Bear Fruit

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."

JOHN 15:16, NKJV

 

RENEWING THOUGHT:

God has appointed work for you to do. There is fruit out there with your name on it, assigned for you to bear. Finding and completing your God-appointed work is a wonderful thing. It gives life purpose and significance. When you discover what you were created to do, you experience great fulfillment.

Embrace the truth that God chose you and appointed you to bear fruit that remains. It is for His glory and for your joy. How then can we bear this good fruit? Here is the secret … abide in Jesus. He is the Vine and you are a grafted-in branch. This is the key to all great fruitfulness. Any branch connected to such a wonderful Vine can't help but be fruitful; it's a natural byproduct of the connection.

By ourselves  we  can  produce  nothing  of  eternal  worth. When we work on our own, disconnected from Jesus, we can only bear fruit that is wood, hay, and stubble. But if we abide in Jesus and remain in Him, we bear fruit that will last forever. This is the difference. We must remain connected to the Vine, the source and fount of all life.

God wants you to be exceedingly fruitful. It is His glory that you are so. Remain in the Lord today and let His Word remain in your heart. A branch on its own cannot bear fruit, but a branch connected to the Vine will produce a great harvest. As you abide in Jesus, you will find the secret to bearing great fruit that has eternal worth!

Day 40 – 3/6/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

l Am Chosen by God

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

ROMANS 8:29-30

 

RENEWING THOUGHT:

You have been chosen by God. The God who knows all things, created all things, who rules and reigns over all things, chose you. He didn't choose you for bondage or servitude, He chose you to be conformed to the image of His Beloved Son. lt's a divine mystery and it is difficult to fathom, but the Bible tells us that we were chosen by God to be called brothers and sisters of Jesus. He, the Firstborn, and we, the adopted, have been given the same level of access to God the Father.

It’s unfathomable grace, unprecedented mercy, and divine hope that God would bestow such glorious and exceeding favor to us. And it’s all His work. All His plan. It’s all Him. Evident and clear and promised long before any of us were born, there is no good work we have done in the past or could do in the future that would ever be enough to earn this gift. Forever we will worship Him in thankfulness as we explore the depth, length, width, and height of the love God has for us. No eye has seen what He has planned for His own. No ear has heard tale of the wonder. But, one day, all will be made known. Today, set your hope on God. Fix your thoughts on heaven. You have been chosen by the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

If anybody understands God’s ardor for his children, it’s someone, who has rescued an orphan from despair, for that is what God has done for us. Adopted children are chosen children.
