“Empowering the abused woman to recover with God's truth"
Day 4: RENEWING TRUTH:
I Am Renewed in the Lord
RENEWING SCRIPTURE:
…those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
ISAIAH 40:31, NIV
RENEWING THOUGHT:
The Lord our God is the Creator of all the earth. He is great, and greatly to be praised! In Him we live and move and have our being. He is the eternal, immortal, invisible, everlasting, all-powerful, all-knowing God. Even so, He calls us friends, and saves us from the power of sin and the grave. His understanding is unsearchable. He is a great God!
Those who expectantly, patiently put their hope in God will always find their strength powerfully renewed. Why? Because they look to the One who is strength, who is power, and who is life. When we hope in the Lord, we hope not in the strength of man or the power of princes. We hope in the very One who created the world!
That is why we can soar like eagles simply by renewing our minds with the truth of God's goodness, faithfulness, and might. That is why we can run through the trials and tribulations of life without getting weary or faint. When we put our hope in a faithful God, we tap into the greatest source of supernatural power.
Don't trust in your own strength. Rather, look to the One who is strength. Those who look to Him will never be disappointed (Psalm 25:3)! Hope in the Lord today and in Him you will renew your strength!
RENEWING INSPIRATION:
We cannot know the will of God for our lives without the renewing of our mind. It takes the renewing of the mind to know what His will is. -Beth Moore
Day 5: RENEWING TRUTH:
God is Good
RENEWING SCRIPTURE:
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have hope in Him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him.
LAMENTATIONS 3:24-25, NASB
RENEWING THOUGHT:
The Lord is good. It is who He is. He does not just possess the quality of goodness, He is the very definition of good. He is always good, and is the essence of all that is good. As we spend time with Him and encounter His presence, His goodness brushes off on us.
As you wait on God, you become like Him. You become like Him because He is the overflowing God. Who He is overflows onto those who are nearest to Him. Like someone who when he stands next to a waterfall can’t help but get wet, so it is with those who remain close to God. His goodness and joy pour forth. Life abounds all around Him. As you wait on the Lord, you experience the manifest characteristics of His goodness flowing and washing over you.
Recall the scriptural promise in James 4:8, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." Like the father of the prodigal son, your heavenly Father runs to meet you when you make a move toward Him. And when you do, you will find He is the only portion you ever need. You really don't need all the trappings of the world with its glitter and glam.
You can be fully satisfied in God. And you can be renewed, divinely renewed as you wait on Him. lt is the only outcome that can happen because in His presence there is fullness of joy and life forevermore. You can't not be renewed! As you wait on God, you will find His overflowing nature fall upon you, restore you, and bring divine renewal to your life.
RENEWING INSPIRATION:
If you are going to do anything significant for God, you're going to have to spend time with God, away from people. -John Gray
