God Is…I Am… Devotional

Day 55 – 3/21/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

God is My Abundant Supplier

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus

PHILIPPIANS 4:19, NIV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

God is our Great Supplier, the One who fills the gap, makes up for the deficit, and restores what has been stolen.

Your heavenly Father is the One who can bring water out of a rock in the desert, and make streams flow in the wilderness. He can make the sun and moon stand still for a day, and He can pile up the waters of the river Jordan in a heap when there seems to be no way across. No need is so great that God cannot supply it.

We all go through seasons in the wilderness. We all, at times, only see ashes and valleys of dry bones. But God can bring beauty from ashes, and He can make dry bones live again. Is there a wilderness in your life? Draw near to God to follow Him to His streams in the desert.

Where do you have need? What is your lack? Every provision comes from God. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and He keeps the keys to the storehouses of heaven. Call on the Lord and He will answer you-He will show you great and mighty things that you do not know. Before you call He will answer; while you are yet speaking He will hear.

Like a good father who desires to give His children what they need, God will supply. Receive from Him every day. He is the One who is well able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ask or think, according to the power that works in you (See Ephesians 3:20).

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

God wants you to live an abundant and fruitful life, and you can do so when you yield every area of your life to the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit.

Day 56 – 3/22/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

I Am Created for Good Works

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

EPHESIANS 2:10, NKJV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

God created you for a specific purpose. He created you to complete works that He prepared before you were born. He is intentional. He decided where you would be born, to whom you would be born, and gave you specific natural talents to equip you to complete the work He intended you to do.

One of the chief reasons people live in frustration, and even depression, is they are not doing what they were created to do. They are alive, but not fulfilling their divine purpose. On the inside, they know they were made for something else, something more significant. Years of deferred hope eventually make the heart sick.

The will of God for your life is not drudgery. His will for you is joy and fulfillment. To find His will you must follow Him step-by-step and you will walk in the good works He has for you. He will lead you into His plan like a good shepherd leads his sheep to their green pastures.

When you discover what God created you for, and you do that work, your life will become exhilarating and fulfilling. This is how life is meant to be-remaining in close relationship with God and fulfilling the work He made specifically for you to do.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

When purpose is about to come forth, there will always be a counterfeit waiting to take you off track…The counterfeit always shows up on the corner…Be prepared for the corner.
