“Empowering the abused woman to recover with God's truth"
Yesterday evening (11-20-21), I was in my room, and Father dropped Psalms 121:1-2 in my spirit man – here is the King James Version: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.”
David said in Psalms 121:1-2, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”
I was telling my friend Elder Barbara Wilcher about the Scripture the LORD gave me and she told me, she had already been studying it, and gotten the revelation on it, BEFORE God gave it to me!! PRAISE GOD!! And she shared her revaluation with me!
This is my paraphrased version of what Elder Wilcher said! The reason David said he would lift his eyes to the hills, from whence cometh his help, and that his help came from the LORD, which made heaven and earth, was because he was reflecting on what God had done for him before; how God had brought him out before and kept him while Saul was looking to kill him – the hills reminder David of this (1 Samuel 23:7-24:22). Therefore, SURELY, WHATEVER he was or would be facing, God WOULD do it again; God WOULD bring him out of WHATEVER he faced at ANY given moment!! David realized his help CONTINUALLY came from the LORD Who made the heaven and earth.
That’s powerful!! We can follow suit with David and encourage ourselves like he did! David encouraged himself by remembering what God had done for him; how God brought him out and did not let Saul kill him!! AND David remembered who God was!! If God made the heaven and earth, SURELY what David was facing or would face was nothing!! And THAT’S what we MUST do, to NOT be shaken by every storm, or wind that comes to stop us - stop our God given purpose!! WE too MUST look to the hills, look to the place, see it in our imagination, where God brought us from - what life or death situation God brought us out of!! AND remember who God is!!
Since God made the heavens and earth, and we are created in His image and likeness, why should we be shaken by ANYTHING!! Moreover, Jesus HAS GIVEN us VICTORY OVER EVERYTHING we face, therefore, why should we fear ANYTHING?
Here is the complete chapter of Psalms 121 (KJV) so you can meditate on it and encourage YOURSELF like David did:
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: The LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in From this time forth, and even for evermore.”
It’s time for us to STOP cowering down to the enemy, letting him bully us, and RISE UP, take our positions on the FRONT LINE, using our AUTHORITY AND HOLY SPIRIT’S POWER, to STAND our ground against the enemy!! We not fighting the enemy, Jesus HAS done that, Jesus HAS defeated the enemy, we just RESTING in Jesus’ FINISHED WORKS - we REST by STANDING on the WORD of GOD, NO matter what we see, feel, or hear, we STAND AND BELIEVE GOD’S REPORT!!
We MUST remember too, that GOD is our HELPER, NOT people - we LEAN AND DEPEND on GOD NOT people!! People WILL let us down; they WILL fail us - that’s a given!! But God WILL NEVER fail us, let us down, reject us, stop loving us, etc. people do these things but NOT God!! People have their own stuff going on - they are not God! Therefore, let’s stop pulling on people, looking to them to do what ONLY God can do!! Yes, it’s okay at times to call people for prayer, but don’t wear them out with everything that happens, running to them - go to God FIRST!!
I know about prayer of agreement, and that’s powerful and that’s not what I am talking about – hear what I am saying by the Spirit! It’s time for us to grow up spiritually!! We get used to running to people for prayer, and not seeking God ourselves, and this causes us to get lazy concerning the things of God!! The choice is ours - are going to remain immature, or allow Holy Spirit to teach us how to grow up, and walk with us as we grow up? I choose to do the latter – I will allow Holy Spirit to teach me how to become more mature in the things of God!! What about you?
