Hello everyone, I pray you all and your families are doing well!!! Minister Everett James and I are starting a live Zoom meeting of Alistair Begg’s series on The Book of Daniel.
The “Study of Daniel,” is an eight-week series by Alistair Begg. Our Zoom meeting times are every Saturday, at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. The first meeting will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 4:00 pm and the series will end now on October 18, 2025, after the 4:00 pm session, because we will not be able to meet on September 20th.
On July 26, 2025, I posted this same teaching of Alistair on my website, Abused Woman Ministries Blog Site. And I explained how when I studied Alistair’s teaching on Daniel, it really helped me. But now, Minister James and I have decided to do a Zoom meeting of all the chapters (Chapter 1 to 6), that Alistair taught on.
This is an informational outline, of “A Study of Daniel,” by Alistair that we will use each week during our live Zoom meetings. I will also have each outline attached to that week’s lesson. Minister James and I hope you all will be able to join us for these very encouraging sessions, as Alistair explains the first six chapters of the Book of Daniel.

Summary of Daniel 1:1–6:28

The book of Daniel contains familiar Bible stories and perplexing apocalyptic visions, yet both are held together by the doctrinal anchors of God’s sovereignty over the affairs of history and His promise to judge the world. History is unfolding according to God’s plan, and every one of us will stand before our Creator. These realities had bearing on how Daniel and his friends lived amid a pagan culture, and they have bearing on how we live today.
In volume one of this series, Alistair Begg examines the obedience of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, the destructive pride of the Babylonian and Median kings, and God’s faithfulness and power in it all. As we recognize that this sinful and broken world is not our home, we can find encouragement and warning in these stories from Israel’s exile. The pressures around us need not overwhelm our hope in the God who has overcome the world.

Summary of Daniel:1-21:
Although they were captives in Babylon, Daniel and his friends submitted to their captors, even through changes in location, education, and identification. When required to surrender the dietary practices that marked them as God’s own people, however, they resisted. As Alistair Begg leads us through Daniel 1, we see that it provides not so much a strategy to cope with trying times but comfort and encouragement to be faithful. The focus of the story is not Daniel but the God that he worshipped.
