We Got ALL We Need!!

We spend all our lives asking God for things, when He has ALREADY given us ALL we need to live in this world – we ALREADY got “IT!!” No matter what “IT” is – God ALREADY gave it to us!! But if we don’t know this, we will NEVER obtain what Jesus died, obtained VICTORY for us, then rose and gave us our VICTORY!! Because of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, and we have accepted Him as our personal Lord, and Savior, we have EVERYTHING we need pertaining to life and godliness, according to 2 Peter 1:3-4.

This is what 2 Peter 1:3-4 KJV says, “³ According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: ⁴ Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (Taken from King James Bible Online).

You might say, “Well where is it? Where are the things pertaining to life and godliness?” They are in your spirit man – 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV tells us, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (Taken from King James Bible Online). Our spirit was renewed, completed, not our soul and body, when we accepted Jesus as our personal Lord, and Savior.

We are spirit, soul, and body – as I stated above, our spirit is completely changed once we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. But our soul, and body are not changed – that requires our mind to be transformed with the Word, so our souls can come into agreement with God’s Word!! Our healing, restoration, and EVERYTHING else we need is in our spirit, and for what we need to manifest, it must go through our soul, into our body.

Before I continue, I want to insert a section from Andrew’s book, “Spirit, Soul, Body” on the next page, so you can see how Holy Spirit flows through our spirit, to the soul, and into the body.

This is a section from Chapter 2, of Andrew’s book, “Spirit, Soul, Body,” that explains how Holy Spirit flows through our soul, into our body (bolding of Scriptures and links to them, along with bolding of paragraphs, done by me).

Is Your Valve Open?

With the pipe diagram, one side represents your spirit and the other your body. Your soul acts as a valve in between the two. When you open the valve, what’s in your spirit can flow through to your body. Depending upon how open it is, the flow of life could be just a trickle, a small stream, or rivers (John 7:38). When the valve is closed, the flow from spirit to body shuts off. That’s a great illustration of how a born-again believer functions!

In your spirit, you’ve got the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead (Eph. 1:18-20). However, it’s possible to have this power and never manifest it. If your soul, like a valve, stays closed to this truth, you won’t experience it. Without opening the valve by renewing your mind to God’s Word, the eternal reality in your spirit won’t be able to impact the temporal “reality” of your physical realm. All that resurrection life and power just stays locked up inside until you look into the spiritual mirror long enough to see the real you and release it!

You could actually die with all of the power that raised Jesus from the dead sitting untapped within you. It would be like dying of thirst while leaning against a well full of life-giving water! If you’re dominated by what you feel, your soul is agreeing with the natural realm. “I feel sick and my body hurts. The doctor said I’m dying. Here’s my medical record to prove it!” Even though you have the resurrection life of God in your spirit, your soul can keep it shut off so that not one drop of life-giving power ever touches your physical body.

You can experience depression, anger, and bitterness all the while possessing God’s love, joy, and peace in your spirit (Gal. 5:22). Since this applies to every area of your life, can you see how pivotal your soul is?

Your body doesn’t really control anything. It just goes with the flow of what it sees, tastes, hears, smells, and feels unless otherwise influenced by the soul. It’s amoral—neither good nor bad. Left to itself, your body just reacts to and goes along with what’s happening in the physical realm.

When your soul agrees with your spirit, the life of God in you will manifest itself in your physical body. You’ll experience healing, deliverance, anointing, victory, power, joy, prosperity—on and on it goes! (END OF CHAPTER 2)

WOW!! This shows us how we receive our manifestations in our bodies!! As we see, it’s not by gaining more faith, crying, and begging God, or any other religious acts we have been taught to do!! It's by renewing our minds with God’s Word – ALLOWING the Word of God to transform us, transform our soul/mind, from the old way of doing things and thinking, to God’s way of doing and thinking – to the NEW man who is in our spirit. Until our minds/souls are transformed by God’s Word, we will continue to do the things we used to do, behave like we used to behave, and think the way we used to think – we will continue to live out of, and after our flesh, which as Andrew said, equals to soul and body, and we won’t be able to walk in the Spirit, won’t be led by Holy Spirit!! I don’t know about you, but I am tired of living after the things of the flesh, I want to live CONTINUALLY after the things of the Spirit – I want to ALWAYS be led by Holy Spirit, not some of the time!!

It’s time for us to get onboard with what God wants us to do so we can follow Him and not do what we want to do with our lives!! Are you all game? Let’s do this!! We can do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens us!! We must CHOOSE to obey God and not our worldly desires – CHOOSE to RENEW our minds!! God will not force us – the choice is ours!!

Andrew Wommack breaks down our spirit, soul, and body in this “Spirit, Soul, Body” teaching:

A. Spirit - Our innermost part. (I say – Holy of Holies – we are the temple of the Holy Spirit)

B. Soul - Our mental, emotional part. Includes the mind, will, emotions, and conscious. (I say – inner court in regard to the Temple in Old Testament)

C. Body - Our physical part. (I say – outer court)

We can feel with both our body and soul, but our spirit cannot be accessed in any natural way. At salvation, our spirit totally changed:

A. Our spirit was instantly and completely transformed.

B. Everything we’ll ever need in the Christian life is already present in its entirety in our spirit.

C. At this very moment, our born-again spirit is as perfect and complete as it’ll ever be throughout all eternity.

D. Our spirit is - right now - as perfect, mature, and complete as Jesus Himself.

It’s time we stop living by our five senses, which is of the flesh, and start living by the Spirit, being led by Holy Spirit, having faith in God and not ourselves or things!!

In conclusion, again, God ALREADY has done ALL we need to have done – “IT IS FINISHED” AS JESUS SAID ON THE CROSS (John 19:30)!! I hope you all join me in this study by Andrew, because I am learning soooo much from it and I know your all will benefit from it too – Holy Spirit will open your eyes too!!

I can’t stress that we got ALL we need to live in this life enough and we are COMPLETE IN CHRIST JESUS (Colossians 2:10-15 – this is what Jesus did and who we are)!!

I have heard about renewing your mind, in my Pastor’s messages, and other’s teachings, but these two lessons (Lessons 1 & 2) in Andrew’s “Spirit, Soul, Body” teaching, just opened my eyes more to the truth of renewing my mind/soul, with the Word of God!!

Through this teaching, I realized that there was one thing missing, the one thing that will change my earthly life, and that is I MUST RENEW my mind/soul, with the Word of God!! Renewing my mind, will transform my soul, and it will cause my soul to come into agreement with my spirit, and what I need, my healing, will manifest in my body!! My spirit man is COMPLETE IN CHRIST ALREADY and that’s where my healing, restoration, and ALL I need to live in my ABUNDANT LIFE in this world is located – but it MUST pass through my soul, to manifest in my body and life!! WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!

Renewing my mind with the Word of God is what’s going to change me, change my life here on earth!! As I said, conform my mind/soul to God's Word so it will come in agreement with the Word, and manifest what I need into my body, and life!!

Again, if our mind/soul is not renewed, it will continue to think the same way it did before we accepted Jesus – causing us to behave as we did before!! It's up to us to renew our minds/souls with God's Word!! That's how we are going to know who God says we are, what Jesus did for us, what's His FINISHED works, who God, Jesus, Holy Spirit is, etc.

I thank God for opening my eyes to what He ALREADY HAS DONE for me through Jesus!! I hope you all will study this teaching with me – it will transform your life – change your life for the better!! God loves you, yes you, and He will ALWAYS love you (John 3:16)!! God has great plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11)!! NO MATTER WHAT you face, God is right there with you!! GOD GOT YOU (Isaiah 41:10)!!
