Getting to The Root of Our Problem: Sickness - Session 1 - Parts A & A-1

I. Introduction: Session 1 - Part A 

Sickness is an invasion of our body that has NO right to be there! And if we allow it to remain, it will destroy us! Proverbs 14:30 says, “A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are   the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones.” (biblegateway.com – Amplified Bible, Classic Edition [AMPC]).

You might wonder as I have, why aren’t we seeing the full manifestation of our healing, Jesus has bought for us when His body was broken? Isaiah 53:4-5 tells us, “4 Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole” (biblegateway.com – Amplified Bible, Classic Edition [AMPC]).

We MUST believe the Word of God about our healing; no matter what the Doctor test says, or our bodies feel – we WILL believe the report of the Lord (Isaiah 53:1– Isaiah 53:1 [AMPC Version]).

I. Introduction: Session 1 - Part A-1 

The Word says, we ARE healed and made whole, by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53:4-5). Therefore, WE ARE HEALED ALREADY! There is NO lack or slack in God or His Word; therefore, the problem lies in us. We cannot allow our feelings to distract us from what the Word of God says; WE ARE HEALED BY JESUS’ STRIPES! So, what is the matter? Why isn’t our healing being fully manifested in our body?

In this teaching, I am going to explain why our healing, that Jesus has already provided for us when His body was broken, is not being fully manifested in our body. I am going to explain how problems in our soul can and will cause sickness, disease, and other ailments, to form in our body and until we get to the root cause of that sickness, it will remain in our bodies; robbing us of the abundant life, Jesus died so we could have (Proverbs 14:30; John 10:10). Jesus has already conquered sickness, disease, grief, sorrow, pain, and any other thing that comes to stop our purpose!

We will first examine what the Word says about sickness (how it affects us) in Part I, then we will explore why sickness is in our bodies in Part III. In Part II, we will discuss what is stopping us from believing the Word of God which is fear. Let’s begin!
