God Is…I Am… Devotional

Day 65 – 3/31/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

God is My Strength

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Isaiah 40:28-29, NIV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

Have you ever felt weary, burdened, and tired? Have you ever reached the point of physical or mental exhaustion where you find yourself putting things away in the wrong places, or forgetting important details, even events entirely? There is a solution. Every day, there is a fount you can draw from to renew your strength. Your fount is the Lord. He is the One who gives strength to the weary. He is the One who restores your soul. He is the One who brings water to the thirsty. There is no other who can bring restoration to your inmost being like He can.

In the Lord, there is life and strength. By your God, you can give a shout of joy and victory over any circumstance. Give thanks to the Lord today. He gives strength when you are weary and increases your power when you feel weak.

God is the strength of your life. Remain close and dependent on Him and He will renew your soul. Do not trust in your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge God (see Proverbs 3:5). Receive what He has done for you, and operate from that overflow.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

As you continue praying in the Spirit and resting in the finished work of Jesus, God will release heaven on earth for you and answer exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or even think!

                                                                                                                          -Joseph Prince

Day 66 – 4/1/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

I Am Strong

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

EPHESIANS 6:10, ESV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

The Lord's strength is available to you. You can actually choose to partake, or not partake, of His might.

The psalmist David declared, "He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle" (see Psalm 144:1). He is the God who made the walls of Jericho fall at a shout. He is the God who freed Peter from prison. And His is the Spirit who raised Christ from the dead. The Lord is a Mighty Warrior. The Lion of Judah is Captain of Angel Armies. The wind and the waves obey His voice. He is God Almighty. Now, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you (see Romans 8:11). You are stronger than you realize.

Even if you feel your flesh and heart fail, recognize and believe that God is the strength of your heart. He will not let your foot slip. He upholds you with His hand. Be strong in the Lord. Remember those who are for you are more than those who are against you. Open your eyes by faith and see the great and mighty salvation of the Lord (see Psalm 91; 1 John 4:4).

Those who wait on the Lord, renew their strength (see Isaiah 40:31). Draw near to Jesus and receive His grace. His Presence is life. With the Lord on your side you can run against a troop, and by your God you can leap over a wall (see Psalm 18:29). Be strong in the Lord and walk in the strength of His might!

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

I love y 'all too much to let you believe the lie that you have to remain a victim. We are MORE THAN conquerors through Christ Jesus who strengthens us. You can get up. You can move forward. You can overcome. You can get past your past. You can walk in victory. You can do it.
