Mind-Body Connection (What We Think, Reflects in Our Body)!

[Healing] The Mind-Body Connection: Day 1 • Devotional

I did not start out to write a message, I was just going to repost my devotional, I was reading this morning, but God had other plans. Therefore, I want to share with you all what God gave me. You can click the link in the title of this message, to read the devotional. This is "Day 1" of the devotional only - you can read the other days on your own. There are only three days to this devotional.

This devotional shows what we think, our thoughts, reflect in our physical bodies!! I believe this too is why Paul tells us in Romans 12:1-2, “And so, dear brothers, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy—the kind he can accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how his ways will really satisfy you.”

Not only will presenting our bodies to God, and renewing our minds, cause us to walk as the NEW creatures we are in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), but it will change our old way of thinking and behaving (Ephesians 4:17-24)!! As you think, so will you do; as a he thinketh (continually thinks) in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). Our behavior will NOT change, until our thinking change!!

Once we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, we ARE IMMEDIATELY NEW creatures in Christ, OLD things are passed away, behold, ALL things have become NEW, in our spirit man (2 Corinthians 5:17)!! But our souls have not become new; our souls are what house our mind, will, emotions, and intellect!! WE must renew our soul with the Word, to change our OLD way of thinking and believing, to God’s way of thinking and believing!! Until we renew our minds to the Word of God, we will continue, after accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior even, to be conformed to the ways of the world, because we will still carry around the world in our soul!  God has delivered us out the world, but we still hanging on to the world, by not giving God our bodies as living sacrifices - asking God to help us deliver our souls - asking God to give us wisdom on how to let go of that stuff in our souls, that’s keeping us from surrendering COMPLETELY to Him!!
