Daily Scripture Interactive Study for September 27, 2022

Hello everyone, I pray you all and your families are well!! And I pray this interactive scripture study, is helping you in your daily walk with Jesus, as His disciple. Here is our interactive scripture study for today. As I mentioned before, an interactive scripture study will help us be more proactive with our daily scripture reading; it is a deeper study of the scriptures, also helps us to pray the scriptures, and meditate on them better. Therefore, let’s DIVE into the Word of God!! Are you ready? Let’s go!!

Today our scripture is coming from Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NLT which tells us, “¹⁹Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! ²⁰You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

My Commentary & Prayer:

My observation, what I see, & what God is saying to me: God gives us a choice on whether we want to choose Him or not – God DOES NOT force us to have a relationship with Him! Moses gave the people a choice in Deuteronomy 30:19, of choosing “life” (GOD) or “death,” and choosing “blessings” or “curses.” And heaven and earth were witnesses of the choices the people would make. Moses told them he hoped they chose life, so that they and their descendants might live. This shows, the choices we make not only affects us, but those in our families. We can be the one God uses, to bring our family members to God, through Jesus, by the way we live. Some of our family members may never step foot in a church. Therefore, we could be the one they watch to see what God is about.

Moses goes on to tell the people in verse 20 how to choose “life” (how to choose GOD).  Moses said, “You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him.” Moses goes on to tell them the importance of choosing “life” – “This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

Therefore, choosing “life” means choosing the Lord our God!! And once we have chosen God, we will love Him, obey Him, and commit ourselves firmly to Him! We cannot do this unless we apply, by faith, what the Word of God says to our lives. STAND on the Word, NO MATTER WHAT!! We must trust God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and not what we can see, or feel!! We must trust the FINISHED WORKS JESUS COMPLETED for us and REST in them!!

God has given me a choice too and I CHOOSE GOD; I CHOOSE LIFE AND BLESSINGS!! I LOVE THE LORD MY GOD, I WILL CONTINUE TO OBEY HIM, AND I COMMIT MYSELF FIRMLY TO HIM!!

How can I apply Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NLT to MY life?

I can apply Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NLT to my life by meditating (ponder it in the heart) on it and declaring and decreeing when something comes to steal, kill, and destroy from me!! I remind the enemy, and other things, that I CHOSE GOD, I CHOSE HIS LIFE, AND HIS LIFE IS WORKING IN ME NOW BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT!! AND NO WEAPON THAT IS FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL EVER PROSPER!! AND THAT I AM BLESSED AND NOT CURSED, I AM HEALED AND NOT SICK, BECAUSE I CHOSE GOD, I CHOSE LIFE!! AND NOTHING CAN STAND AGAINST ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE!! AND I SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE TO DECLARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD!! The main reason to meditate on this scripture, is so I can receive revelation from the Holy Spirit which will cause faith to come alive in my heart – I don’t want to lean on my own understanding about anything, especially, about the Word’s meaning! Once faith comes alive in my heart, then and only then will I be able to stand firm, on what God said in His Word.

My prayer from Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NLT:

“Father God, I thank You for giving me a choice to choose and I choose You – LIFE AND BLESSINGS from YOU!! You are the Key to my life! I believe You and stand firmly on Your Word! I make a conscious decision today to walk after the things of You; I am running towards You today, Father, not away from You!”
