Hello, I am glad you decided to continue with the “Journey of Freedom” Program! This journey is a continuous one – until Jesus comes back to take us home, we will be growing and making sure there is NOTHING holding us back from our COMPLETE BREAKTHROUGH!! As the Word tells us in Romans 12:1-2, we must not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing our mind so we can prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. The Word will transform our minds so that we can grow in God!! Praise God that you made it this far and for Him taking you all the way!!

Today, Minister Everett James and I are continuing with the next part of the “Journey of Freedom” Program, which is the “Emotional Healing” Series. Just as our previous programs, “Importance of Forgiveness,” "Violence & Abuse," and “Angry Management” Program, we will meet every Monday, unless there is a holiday, via Zoom, at 5:30 pm central time, which is 6:30 pm eastern time. Agenda Session Seven – Part 1G – 4-24-2023

1. Start the session with prayer – ask Holy Spirit to give you understanding and give you inner healing as He reveals to you what issues need to be dealt with in your heart/soul.

2 Study each part of the session – all programs focus on the healing of the spirit, soul, & body.

3. Rap Up – write down any questions you may have, and we will review them at the next meeting.

Homework: The only homework for this series is for you to keep a journal as the Holy Spirit reveals to you what issues from your past have not been dealt Ask God how to deal with them and keep a journal of what He said; check off each issue that you dealt with as you are healed from the pain of that hurt.

4. Close in Prayer – just pray what you feel in your heart.

Identity disturbances

Patients with dissociative fugue disorder, Dissociative Disorders Not Otherwise  Specified (DDNOS), or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)   often experience confusion about their identities or even assume new identities. Identity disturbances result from the patient having split off entire personality traits or characteristics and memories. These identities control a person’s behavior at different times. DID can cause gaps in memory and other problems.  

According to encyclopedia.com/medicine, “When a stressful or traumatic experience triggers the reemergence of these dissociated parts, the patient may act differently, answer to a different name, or appear confused by his or her surroundings.”

These are medical facts that people can have long-term effects from childhood or adult abuse or any other thing which traumatizes them emotionally; yes, even Christians can be and are being affected by these disorders every day – but there is nothing too hard for God, and He is here to deliver NOW!! We are healed from EVERY sin, sickness, disease, disorder, etc. (anything that tries to come against us – any weapon) by the stripes of Jesus!!

We cannot be so spiritual that we allow ourselves to be in total denial of what is going on with us! We are quick to quote how God is turning everything around for our good, but we must play a part in Him doing that! Yes, I know God does not NEED our help; I am talking about giving Him permission to do just that – we must allow God to do whatever it takes to turn those things in our lives around that need to be turned around. When issues that we have not dealt with comes up, we must allow God to tell us how to deal with them and get them solved once and for all. Yes, God can wipe them away from our minds without us having to deal with them (and sometimes He does do that for some memories), but if He does that for all memories, how are we going to testify of His goodness; how He delivered us?

The Word (Revelations 12:11) lets us know we are overcomers by the Blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and the word of our testimonies!! If we never went through anything, how are we going to have a testimony? A testimony comes when God has delivered us out of something and brought us through it (we have dealt with those issues – that is how deliverance comes)!

A testimony cannot be birth out of denial – you still are blind, saying, “That did not happen to me” in your mind – you are not willing to face the truth or do not know you are in denial – either way, you are still in bondage to those past issues. A person will only have a testimony when he/she is free from the thing(s) which had him/her bound; then, the person will be able to go and tell what the Lord has done and help someone else get set free.

I believe God wanted me to share my revelations He gave me about myself with you, so that is why I am doing it. I pray that as you read this, God will open the eyes of your heart and allow you to see things from YOUR past, childhood, or whenever that has you in bondage and that He will give you your way of escape. I don’t care how spiritual, saved, strong, anointed, etc., you think you are, there are traumatic things that occur in life that can knock you to your knees and have you not wanting to get up. I ask you not to be fooled into saying, “It could never happen to me,” or “That does not bother me!” It does, and it affects you in ways you would never realize unless you allow God to open your eyes to His truth.

God’s BLESSINGS to you all as you go through YOUR process of discovering who you REALLY are in Christ!! And once you KNOW this, NO trauma of ANY KIND can hold you back from pursuing God in the way Jesus died for you to – so you could have an ULTIMATE relationship with God, your Father, and Creator!! DON’T ALLOW ANYTHING TO STOP YOU FROM HAVING A ONE-ON-ONE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!! Jesus gave HIS life, so YOU could have a relationship with the Father!!
