“Emotional Healing Series” Session Nine, Parts 1I & 1J, Live Session – 5-8-2023

Hello, I am glad you have decided to continue with the “Journey of Freedom” Program! This journey is continuous – until Jesus comes back to take us home, we will be growing and making sure NOTHING is holding us back from our COMPLETE BREAKTHROUGH!! As the Word tells us in Romans 12:1-2, we must not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing our mind so we can prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. The Word will transform our minds so that we can grow in God!! Praise God that you made it this far and for Him taking you all the way!!

Today, Minister Everett James, and I, are continuing with the next part of the “Journey of Freedom” Program which is the “Emotional Healing” Series. Just as our previous programs, “Importance of Forgiveness,” "Violence & Abuse," and “Angry Management” Program, we will meet every Monday, unless there is a holiday, via Zoom, at 5:30 pm Central time, which is 6:30 pm Eastern time. Agenda Session Nine – Parts 1I & P1J  – 5-8-2023

1. Start the session with prayer – ask Holy Spirit to give you understanding and give you inner healing as He reveals to you what issues need to be dealt with in your heart/soul.

2 Study each part of the session – all programs focus on the healing of the spirit, soul, & body.

3. Rap Up – write down any questions you may and we will go over them at the next meeting.

Homework: The only homework for this series is for you to keep a journal as the Holy Spirit reveals to you what issues from your past have not been dealt Ask God how to deal with them and keep a journal of what He said; check off each issue that you dealt with as you are healed from the pain of that hurt.

4. Close in Prayer – just pray what you feel in your heart.

Emotional Healing Through Dealing with Past Issues – Part 1I:

Deuteronomy 8:18 lets us know that it is God who gives us the power to create wealth (get rich); you or your parents did not become rich on your own – it was God!! God is our Source and if you do not honor Him, you are not living the abundant life He intended you to live! There is no way you can live the abundant life without the One who gives abundant life and His name is Jesus!! And until you realize where your help comes from, you will be living beneath your privileges – I don’t care how many houses, cars, businesses, etc. you have – you will not be living the God best life that Jesus died so you could live!!

It is time, time is winding up, to stop living a counterfeit life and live the life Jesus died so God could carry out the plan and purpose He has ordained for you since the foundation of the world (Jeremiah 1:5). This is what Ephesians 1:4-5 says:

“4 Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.5 For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]—“ (biblegateway.com – Amplified Bible).

In John 15:1-6 (I suggest you read the whole chapter), Jesus said:

“1I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. 2 Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. 3 You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you]. 4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. 6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned” (biblegateway.com – Amplified Bible).

 

Emotional Healing Through Dealing with Past Issues – Part 1J:

The key to happiness, joy, peace, etc. is being in Christ and He being in us!! And since God predestines us, Peter speaks by God in 1 Peter 1:13-17 and tells us what we should do:

“13 So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.

14 [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel].

15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.

16 For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy.

17 And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence [on the earth, whether long or short]” (biblegateway.com – Amplified Bible).

In Verses 18 & 19 of the same chapter, Peter said:

“18 You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold,

19 But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot” (biblegateway.com – Amplified Bible).

It is time to throw back the Ismael and embrace Isaac! God has predestined you to be great in Him! God is telling you today what He told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 29:11: “…I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for” (biblegateway.com – Message Bible).

Anything is possible if we only believe!! You must stop allowing the enemy to cause you to think you got where you are on your own – that is a lie from the pit of hell and has caused you to be stuck, yes stuck in pride. James 4:6 let us know that God gives us more grace – grace to overcome every obstacle – even pride. God gives us His grace to combat anything which tries to come against us that is why no weapon formed against us will prosper!! God's grace is sufficient for us!! Grace is a whole different teaching in itself which I have taught before; if you missed any of them, click here to read them. James goes on to say God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble (Proverbs 3:34).

God’s BLESSINGS to you all, as you go through YOUR process, of discovering who you REALLY are in Christ!! And once you KNOW this, NO trauma of ANY KIND can hold you back, from pursuing God in the way Jesus died for you to – so you could have an ULTIMATE relationship with God your Father, and Creator!! DON’T ALLOW ANYTHING TO STOP YOU FROM HAVING A ONE-ON-ONE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!! Jesus gave HIS life, so YOU could have a relationship with the Father!!
